Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. The ability that helped her get her first position as a Univision production assistant in Miami. There, she worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was an Sports Reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009 she relocated to Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs in both Texas and Mexico. In addition, she was an anchor for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on other responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She was hired as anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. As a sports anchor, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collins was born and raised in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. They moved at some point towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She has an older sister. The family moved to Miami after relocating out of Mexico in the US. Her parents divorced soon after and in 1995 her mother remarried one of the naval architects known as Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta was a senior in high school having a clear idea of where she would like her life to look like, traveled to Mount Union University to determine what she could get out of the college. She loved the campus. They also offered her the program she was interested in. When she finished her high school education, she chose to go to the university with a major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. He encouraged her to have confidence and his enthusiasm in journalism was a huge influence on her. She, determined to live up to his expectations and never let him down.
